Susan's practice focuses on all aspects of Local Government Law. She has extensive experience in litigating and defending Residential and Commercial Tax Appeals before County Tax Boards, as well as in the New Jersey Tax Court.
Mrs. DeSimone has represented municipalities in areas involving public bidding, public contracting, cable television, cellular towers, OPRA, challenges to municipal ordinances, zoning enforcement, contract disputes, Title 59 issues and foreclosures involving affordable housing units. She also has extensive municipal court experience, having served as former Assistant Municipal Prosecutor in the Township of Wall, the Borough of Colts Neck and Township of Neptune and as defense counsel. She has also provided effective representation to private clients in civil litigation actions, foreclosure actions, landlord-tenant matters, real estate matters, estate planning matters and guardianship actions.
Susan received her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University and her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law. Following graduation, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Leopold A. Monaco, J.S.C. in the Superior Court, Passaic Vicinage.
She is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey, District Court for the District of New Jersey, as well as in the District of Columbia.
Susan is a member of the New Jersey Institue of Local Government Attorneys and a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association.
